First Second Regular Appointments
First Visit
We look forward to meeting you during your first visit. The objective of this appointment is for you to get to know us and learn how you may benefit from orthodontic treatment. After answering any general questions or concerns you may have about orthodontics, Dr. Ely will review the health history and perform an examination of the face and oral structures. If treatment is indicated, we will take diagnostic records which include impressions of the teeth, digital x-rays, and photographs. Please allow 45 minutes for this appointment.
Second Visit
On the second visit, we will discuss the specifics of the diagnosis and treatment plan and provide informed consent. After answering any questions or concerns you may have, we will begin treatment by either placing braces or fitting for the prescribed appliance(s). A thorough explanation of how to care for the braces and/or appliances will also be given at this appointment.
Regular Visits
Once the initial visits are completed, follow-up visits are usually scheduled at 4 to 8 week intervals. These visits are generally 15 - 40 minutes in length. We pride ourselves not only on the level of care we provide, but also on being prompt and respecting your schedule.
